"Conspiracy Corner - Oil 2.0!"

Scientist in Silicon Valley have created bugs (bacteria) that eats agriculture waste and excretes petrol. From TimesOnline:

Scientists find bugs that eat waste and excrete petrol

Silicon Valley is experimenting with bacteria that have been genetically altered to provide 'renewable petroleum'

“Ten years ago I could never have imagined I’d be doing this,” says Greg Pal, 33, a former software executive, as he squints into the late afternoon Californian sun. “I mean, this is essentially agriculture, right? But the people I talk to – especially the ones coming out of business school – this is the one hot area everyone wants to get into.”

He means bugs. To be more precise: the genetic alteration of bugs – very, very small ones – so that when they feed on agricultural waste such as woodchips or wheat straw, they do something extraordinary. They excrete crude oil.

Unbelievably, this is not science fiction. Mr Pal holds up a small beaker of bug excretion that could, theoretically, be poured into the tank of the giant Lexus SUV next to us. Not that Mr Pal is willing to risk it just yet. He gives it a month before the first vehicle is filled up on what he calls “renewable petroleum”. After that, he grins, “it’s a brave new world”. MORE!

So now we wait and see what the oil companies do to squash this idea. Just like the electric car they are going to come out against this idea because it will definitely affect their bottom line. Just think all we have to do is give these little critters some wheat straw and a couple of woodchips and "wahlah" your driving. To those concerned about the planet and carbon emissions, they say this new Oil 2.0 has less carbon emissions than the old crude that is causing us to fight wars all over the Mid-East. So not only is the new Oil 2.0 safer for the environment it will allow us to tell OPEC to f*ck off!

So you think the Oil companies have your best interests at heart?! Then what happened to the Electric cars that GM built?! In California they even had started putting in the infrastructure where people could "re-fuel" their electric cars. Didn't know about the 1000's of electric cars that were made in the mid 90's? Check out the video, it runs about 90 minutes but it is a fascinating watch!

Who Killed The Electric Car

The only reason we are paying on average $4.00 a gallon for gas is that the Oil companies are buying up all the new technology and sitting on it so that they can continue to rape us for their oil! We could have been off oil 100's of years ago. Most of the consumer commercial items, which includes just about everything, has oil in it. most of those items could also be made out of hemp oil. Yup a couple of pounds of weed could make 1000's of items that are made out of oil. We could also modify the hemp oil to run our vehicles. We are using all kinds of biofuels and with electric or Oil 2.0 we don't have to worry about popcorn riots in movie theaters

I'll hold out on more info on the "woodchip bug". My concern is what else it eats, and when does it stop eating?

Honda has a car with a hydrogen fuel cell, and they have a few fueling stations in Cali. I am curious as to how much a vehicle like this might actually cost, but they aren't selling them yet, they are still proto.

One of the things that I read was that the current adminstration had met with companies pushing alternative energy sources one time, yet they met with oil companies 41 times. This says a lot.

Yeah those hydrogen cars look like they are going to be the one but it is way too expensive not too mentioned being blocked at every turn!. Right now, without the "bugs" we have bio-diesel and you can make it in your backyard and it emits a faint odor and a whole lot less of those pollutants as in virtually none, however we run out of corn and corn and it's oils and other by products are also in everything! The "Popcorn Wars" would soon follow! -I feel ya on the "bugs" especially living in between a virology lab and it's corresponding research lab- with them closing in every year!

I feel like an experiment already! The problem is that anything that breaks the grip oil has on America is bad and must be destroyed!

PEACE!
