I apologize for not doing the Weekly (C)Wrap-Up this week but this Friday was a very busy day! First of all I forgot I had jury duty yesterday and then on top of it the other guy I work with called in sick so I had to work yesterday and I also have to go in later this afternoon. I was half expecting the police to come get me and take me to court but they didn't, guess I wasn't missed and in this instance it is a good thing. I guess I could write a late edition or an early Saturday edition but that type of post is a in the minute type thing and the day is long gone.

However, I just read something at a friends page on 360 that is really shocking and apparently true. Now while it has been shown that pedophilia has been running wild lately especially if your catholic, but to pass a law that requires parents to get government permission to kiss their own kids or take them to a public swimming pool borders on the truly paranoid and sounds like some NWO bullshit...From INFOWARS:

Sweeping new policies set to be introduced in the UK will mandate parents to get government permission to kiss their children or take them to the swimming pool in public, measures that are "poisoning" relationships between the generations, according to respected sociologist Professor Frank Furedi.

A quarter of the entire adult population of the United Kingdom will be mandated to pass a state check operated by a newly formed government agency to have any physical contact with children under the age of 16 in public - including their own kids.

"From next year the new Independent Safeguarding Authority will require any adult who come into contact with children or vulnerable adults either through their work or in voluntary groups to be vetted," according to a London Telegraph report.

In a think tank report, Professor Furedi highlighted cases where government checks were already being required by schools and other organizations for parents to merely interact with their own children in public.

In one example, a woman could not kiss her daughter goodbye on a school trip because she had not been vetted.

In another, a mother was surprised to be told by another parent that she and her husband were "CRB checked" when their children played together.

In a third example, a father was given "filthy looks" by a group of mothers when he took his child swimming on his own in "a scene from a Western when the room goes silent and tumbleweed blows across the foreground".

As a result ordinary parents - many of whom are volunteers at sports and social clubs - now find themselves regarded "potential child abusers".

Despite the fact that cases of child abduction in the UK have steadily dropped since the 1970’s, government fear mongering and media scare campaigns have created the illusion that pedophiles are roaming around everywhere preying on children. Child abuse numbers are also being artificially inflated by charities like the NSPCC - who were caught faking abuse cases to generate cash donations. MORE!

I understand the need to be safe and to keep kids safe but when is it going to far?! What it sounds like is just more government intrusion into peoples lives and causing chaos and division within families. So is the government going to start feeding the kids and clothing them and driving them to practices and everything else that requires parents or relatives for that matter. I can understand vetting workers that have contact with kids and ALL Priest, but their parents?

Yes their are real cruddy parents out there and we hear about kids suffering all of the time to but how does this law really stop that from happening?! Most of the time the abusers practice their trades in the dark anyway. We find out that they have been holding their kids in basements and dungeons and the most hideous stuff but this law does nothing to address that. All this law does is take away parents rights and smacks of 1939 Germany!

A Rhode Island school district has announced a pilot program to monitor student movements by means of radio frequency identification (RFID) chips implanted in their schoolbags.

The Middletown School District, in partnership with MAP Information Technology Corp., has launched a pilot program to implant RFID chips into the schoolbags of 80 children at the Aquidneck School. Each chip would be programmed with a student identification number, and would be read by an external device installed in one of two school buses. The buses would also be fitted with global positioning system (GPS) devices.

Parents or school officials could log onto a school web site to see whether and when specific children had entered or exited which bus, and to look up the bus’s current location as provided by the GPS device.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has criticized the plan as an invasion of children’s privacy and a potential risk to their safety.

"There’s absolutely no need to be tagging children," said Stephen Brown, executive director of the ACLU’s Rhode Island chapter. According to Brown, the school district should already know where its students are.

"[This program is] a solution in search of a problem," Brown said.

The school district says that its current plan is no different than other programs already in place for parents to monitor their children’s school experience. For example, parents can already check on their children’s attendance records and what they have for lunch, said district Superintendent Rosemary Kraeger. MORE!

So don't think this is just something that is going on only "across the pond" but right here in the good old USA too! Time to wake up folks, it is these little steps like this that add up to big reductions in our already limited freedoms!
